Before we had the chance to wander down to the hotel's futbol room, Germany had scored five (5) goals. Nice Adidas commercial. Lots of groans for awhile, but now silence ... appropriate sound.

Bruges already offers consolation. :) Funny how reasonably priced Belgian beer and chocolate is in Belgium. The dwelling place feels utterly luxurious, yet it is less expensive than other nights of the trip.

Tomorrow will be short walks, with a bicycle ride to Damme and maybe the Dutch border on Thursday.

oh oh oh oh oh ... and here I am looking out my home office window at a sweating Juniper tree and ugly Bend-colored houses where it's 87 degrees (but Weather Underground tells me it "feels like" 85 degrees. I am filled with alliterative tourist envy for both the beer and the beauty.
